The Southside Six

Crispin Walsh continued the Harriers' streak of wins at The Southside Six with a commanding victory by nearly six minutes. Eleven Harriers competed in the race which takes in six of Glasgow's parks including Queens Park where the race starts and finishes.

Following in Ally Scott in 2013 & 2014 and Jack Arnold in 2015, Crispin was first across the line, running Ally's course record close by finishing eighteen seconds outside it.

Ian Taggart finished fourth in his age category while Lynne McDowall was in the top ten women in just outside two hours.

Kenny Taylor took eight minutes off his previous course best and Katherine Hylands, Derek Shand, and Lynne Sim were within a three minute spread of each other.

John Cunningham crossed the line a few minutes later while Christine McKay and Karen Speirs were next in having run parts of the first half of the race together. New member Gillian Glass was also running, finishing in a time of 2:40:07.
